Naming ceremony

The ceremony gives parents the opportunity to make promises to thier child.

A Naming ceremony is a beautiful ceremony for a child of any age and a lovely alternative to a christening.

As any parent knows our little ones aren't babies for long, so it can be a double celebration, combined with your child's birthday.

Naming ceremonies are also a wonderful way to welcome an adopted child or step-child into your family and circle of freinds.

The ceremony gives parent's the opportunity to make promises, and declare their commitment and love to their child in front of friends and family in a happy and joyous celebration which can be held anywhere, at any time and include anything you wish for.

Naming Ceremonies can be traditional with religious elements. They can be modern and include tales of parenthood. They can be unconventional, heart-warming, funny or a beautiful blend of everything mentioned.

Some parents opt to have ‘Supporting adults’, ‘Guide parents’, ‘God parents’ or 'Guding stars' (the title is compltely your choice) who will take part in the ceremony and promise to play a significant role in your child’s life.

A naming ceremony also gives the opportunity for siblings to show their love for their brother or sister. They can have a very important role within the ceremony.

Many parents often take the opportunity to show their thanks and love to a special family member or friend who plays a vital part in your child’s life for example Grandad. This can be done by including a special reading or poem about Grandads or he could be chosen to make vows and promises to your child.

That's the joy of Naming Ceremonies, they are created just for you and your child to reflect your family.

Naming Ceremony fee £400.00
for ceremonies within a 25 radius of FY3, additional mileage is charged for ceremonies further afield.
I ask for a deposit of £150.00 to secure your booking and have exclusivity of your date. The balance is then due eight weeks before the ceremony or before the fist draft of your complete ceremony is sent to you.

We will have an initial meeting to discuss any ideas you may have for the Naming ceremony and what you would like to include. This meeting can be at the venue or your home, which ever suits you best.

I will make lots of suggestions and I will gather lovely details about your child and your family. From there I start to weave everything together to create the ceremony. I will then e-mail the first draft of the ceremony to you.

We can tweak it, amend it and add to it, until it is perfect for you.

On the day of the ceremony, your child will receive a ceremony certificate, a certificate keep-sake box and a souvenir ceremony script.

I only ever take one booking per day, meaning you have complete exclusivity of the day. So if things are to run a little late for one reason or another (as they so often do with children) it is no problem.

If you are interest in having a Naming Ceremony for your child or would like more information, please get in touch.
